Prayer and Fasting Day

April 11 // Following 11:00am Service // Worship Center

The students will gather after 2nd service to pray and fast.

This will be a unique time to pray for each other and all that God has for us for His glory. This isn’t some random event. The students have been challenged from the beginning of the year to make prayer a priority in their lives. Every week I have challenged them in the student GroupMe in different ways to incorporate prayer into their everyday walk. I also challenge them in a specific application of prayer every Wednesday night at the start of our Bible study. I hope to make this time together in prayer a regular gathering.

Take Heart – John 16:33
No one wants to be afraid, to feel anxious, or nervous. We believe the lies and fears that the enemy seeks to instill in our lives. We walk into our schools, turn on the news, or talk to our friends, and leave feeling unsteady. But fear does not have to be the defining characteristic of our lives. The voice of the enemy does not have to overpower the voice of our Victor, Jesus. Jesus has erased the need for all fear and blocks out the sometimes overwhelming voice of the enemy. At Student Life Camp 2021, students will learn that while the opponent is great, our God is greater. He was and is a God of kept promises, who has good plans for us. He is our stronghold in the midst of weakness, taking our hands in the face of uncertainty, and pushing us toward courage, pushing us to take heart.

Alaska Senior Mission Trip

June 28 – July 2 // Seniors Only

This is our “ANCHOR” mission trip for the graduating 12th grade class. Going to College or starting a career is a time in your life when there are more crossroads than there are straightaways. For this reason, our student program strives to provide an opportunity to help instill in our students as followers of Christ that they are to live and be on mission. A mission trip can be a powerful, life-changing experience that broadens our perspective. This trip, and the ones to follow, will always be evangelistic in nature and push us to our “edge”. We have poured our lives into these teens and now they start the journey into adulthood with their hearts and minds in the right direction to bring glory to God by proclaiming Jesus and His Gospel.

This year the students, along with myself and three other adults, will be flying to Alaska to help staff a summer camp for an entire week. We ask that even if you don’t have a student going on the trip you would be in much prayer for this group to be used in extraordinary  ways to bring glory to God.

New York City Mission Trip

July 25 – 31

Broadway, Empire State Building, Times Square…New York City is one of the most recognizable and influential cities in the world. In March of 2020, New York City and the lives of everyone there came to a screeching halt. While lots of things in New York changed, the people that call New York home did not. The needs of people there have grown tremendously, especially the need for the Hope that the Gospel brings.

This summer, we have the opportunity to partner with churches in the Metro New York Baptist Association to bring that hope to people all over NYC. There will be tons of opportunities for us during this trip that will help meet needs and bring Christ into peoples lives. Things like distributing food, handing out masks, cleaning up neighborhoods (and so much more) are just a few ways that we might be able to share Christ with people in need in New York!

Sign up begins March 10. Limit of 15 total participants. Cost is $500.
